Response and Analysis
Like in Arrival, the director makes you, the viewer, the 'detective', not showing you everything in order to make you think for yourself.
Deep focus, wide shots, and long (time) shots all combine to create a democratic shot where you can look wherever you like, searching for answers and clues to gain more knowledge on what you have been shown at the beginning (that something bad has happened).
The use of reverse chronology makes it so that the audience becomes interested in figuring out what has happened on this street by being shown the flowers and the hose cleaning blood off the street at the start.
